Pink Panther
In this project, we had to recreate a small scene from a video we enjoyed in french. My partner and I chose the pink panther scene to teach the character to pronounce certain words in English, as he is a native french speaker. For this project, we had to be open-minded and chose a video that both us enjoyed and thought to be funny or entertaining. It also caused us to be a bit reflective about how difficult it must be to be a French speaker and struggle with the pronunciation in English, instead of just thinking that we have it hard with the French pronunciation.
Bon Voyage
For this project, we had to plan a trip to a french speaking destination and calculate the budget that was needed. We investigated activities, hotels, transportation, food, culture, and many more things. This was done in partners and it helped us reflect on how hard it is to go traveling to an unknown place where the language barrier may be greater than in other places. However, my partner Sofia and me achieved to plan our week-long trip without any failures.
IOA French
The French IOA may be one of the assessments that makes me feel the proudest. Learning a new language s extremely hard and very challenging. Therefore, when you complete the IOA and realize you can hold a conversation about very strong and hard topics all in french you feel incredibly proud. For me, the French class was a risk-taker, I have never been very good with other languages, and having a class that relies only on it es very risky, however, my teacher and my peers helped me and increased my confidence in this class, achieving a good grade in this assessment.
